The 8th edition of Personal Structures, an international contemporary art biennial art exhibition in Venice, Italy.
For the 2026 edition, the project will investigate the relationship between individuals, communities, and their environments, focusing on how personal narratives shape the collective human experience.
The Personal Structures exhibition will be held from May 9th to November 22nd, 2026, throughout La Biennale di Venezia in our three iconic venues: Palazzo Bembo, Palazzo Mora, and the Marinaressa Gardens, located in the heart of Venice, along the Canal Grande.
A diverse group of artists will foster dialogue and cultural exchange, providing a platform to showcase their work to a global audience.
The invitation is extended to a dynamic group of talents and innovative professionals, including emerging artists, galleries, universities, and cultural institutions, who are shaping the future of the field.
Past participants have included renowned artists such as Yoko Ono, Joseph Kosuth, Roman Opalka, Hermann Nitsch, Martin Parr, Xu Bing, Marina Abramovic, Arnulf Rainer, Nobuyoshi Araki, Lee Ufan, Miles Greenberg, and Emily Young, as well as institutions such as Princeton Universities, Willem de Kooning Academy, the Ludwig Museum, and the Guangdong Museum of Art.
Artists are also eligible for the ECC Awards, which offer additional opportunities for international recognition. A distinguished jury of international art professionals will carefully consider and evaluate each project.
As a non-profit exhibition with free public access, participants are responsible for securing funding to support their participation through sponsorship.
